The School of Social Science, Garden City University is hosting a Two Day National Level Skill Development Workshop on “Physical and Mental Well-being” which is dedicated to addressing the critical areas of physical and mental wellbeing, which are interconnected aspects of overall health of an individual. Physical wellbeing involves taking care of your body through activities like regular exercise, nutritious eating, adequate sleep, and avoiding harmful substances. Mental wellbeing, on the other hand, relates to your emotional and psychological state, including managing stress, cultivating positive relationships, seeking support when needed, and practicing self-care activities like mindfulness or hobbies. The objective of the workshop is to equip attendees with practical tools and resources to enhance their physical and mental health, foster a deeper understanding of trauma, its impact on psychological wellbeing, and strategies for coping and healing, educating participants about the importance of physical and mental wellbeing and their interconnectedness and exploring the significance of positive peer relationships and provide strategies for nurturing healthy connections. Anyone who is a student or a professional counsellor or an aspiring psychologist or an academician or a research Scholar can attend it to benefit from the same. E-certificates shall be provided to all attendees.
