Garden City University is pleased to present the next session of its IGNITE – GCU Expert Talk Series, featuring Nishant Ratnakar, Founder of Solmelu Studios, Bengaluru.
Tulu is a language with a rich cultural and literary heritage, deeply rooted in the history and identity of the Tulu-speaking community. Yet, preserving its traditional writing systems and ensuring their relevance in the digital age presents an important contemporary challenge.
In this engaging session, Nishant Ratnakar will explore the journey of Tulu Lipi, its historical and cultural significance, and the possibilities of using digital storytelling and contemporary technology to revive and preserve this important heritage.
The talk will examine how technology can become a powerful tool for cultural preservation—helping traditional scripts move beyond archives and communities into the digital spaces where younger generations increasingly communicate, learn and express themselves.
