On August 21, 2025, Ms. K. N. Manasa, Assistant Professor in the School of Media Studies, delivered an insightful colloquium titled “Workplace Wellness Through Naturopathy & Nutrition: Pathways to a Healthier Professional Life.” The session explored the vital connection between gut health and brain function, emphasizing how balanced nutrition enhances stamina, energy, and creativity in professional settings.
Ms. Manasa integrated Ayurvedic principles, linking the doshas—Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (water)—to individual body types and advocating for tailored dietary choices to optimize health. She recommended practical habits, such as eating dinner before 8 PM, avoiding tea or coffee on an empty stomach, and steering clear of late-night snacks and fried or oily foods. A passionate proponent of naturopathy and Ayurveda, Ms. Manasa also champions the welfare of Karnataka’s tribal communities.
This engaging session underscored the role of holistic nutrition in fostering a healthier, more productive workplace.
