Engineering Students from GCU Inspire GHPS Students with Project Exhibition for International Women’s Day Date: 05/03/2024 Venue: Government Higher Primary School (GHPS) A group of engineering students from GCU seized the opportunity to visit Government Higher Primary School (GHPS) and showcase their projects as part of an International Women’s Day (IWD) event. This occasion provided an invaluable platform for school students to gain exposure to innovative ideas and knowledge from peers representing another educational institution. The projects exhibited by the GCU engineering students encompassed a wide range of topics and disciplines, each aimed at inspiring and empowering the young minds at GHPS. Alongside their projects, the GCU students also took the initiative to educate the GHPS students about phishing attacks and IoT (Internet of Things) topics, enhancing their understanding of these important technological concepts. After the presentations, the GHPS students were given the opportunity to engage with the GCU students and ask questions about the topics discussed. To further reinforce their understanding, the GHPS students were tasked with either drawing or writing an essay about what they learned regarding phishing attacks and IoT topics. This interactive session not only provided the GHPS students with valuable knowledge but also encouraged them to think critically and express their thoughts creatively. By engaging with their peers from GCU and participating in discussions about cutting-edge technologies, the GHPS students were inspired to explore new ideas and pursue their interests in STEM fields. The collaboration between GCU and GHPS for the International Women’s Day event exemplifies the spirit of empowerment and inclusivity, promoting the exchange of ideas and fostering a culture of learning and innovation among students from diverse backgrounds.
