As we observe Autism Awareness Month, the Department of Physiotherapy organized a guest lecture on “Early Screening and Intervention in Autism” to empower future healthcare professionals with specialized clinical insights. The session, led by expert pediatric occupational therapist Dr. Annu Kumari, provided an in-depth exploration of early developmental indicators and the nuances of sensory integration therapy. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of how interdisciplinary collaboration between physiotherapy and occupational therapy optimizes motor planning and functional independence for children on the spectrum.
