The Career Guidance & Placement Office (CGPO), in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is organising EDGE 25 – “Empowering Dreams, Gearing Employability” from 27–29 October 2025 at the OMR campus of GCU. The programme targets all first-year undergraduate students, with the core focus being a cognitive-ability assessment that will help map each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning traits. Based on the assessment, personalised road-maps for academic growth, skill enhancement and early employability will be developed.
Over three days, students will complete assessment sessions, participate in workshops on cognitive profiling and career‐road-mapping, engage in small-group discussions and receive one-on-one counselling. The output will include individual profile reports and action plans to guide students throughout their UG journey. The data from all participants will also inform institutional support systems via the IQAC and CGPO, enabling targeted interventions such as bridging modules, skill-labs and mentoring.
By initiating this early in the first year, GCU aims to foster student self-awareness, proactive planning and stronger alignment between academic progress and career preparation. The success of EDGE 25 will be tracked through student participation, satisfaction feedback, and follow-up engagement in mentoring and skill development.
