Brief Description of the Program: The School of Commerce and Management successfully organized “Pre Budget Express 2026”, a Pre-Budget academic event, with active participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students. The primary objective of the event was to enhance students’ understanding of the Union Budget 2026 and its impact on various sectors of the economy, while also enabling them to formulate constructive suggestions for policy improvement.
A total of 22 teams participated and presented well-researched and insightful analyses on key themes such as Agriculture, Health Care, Infrastructure, Finance, Trade, Public Services, Environment, and Digital Economy, along with several other related areas. Each team demonstrated strong analytical abilities, critical thinking, and practical perspectives on sector-specific challenges and policy expectations.
The presentations reflected students’ awareness of contemporary economic issues and promoted meaningful academic discussions. Faculty members evaluated the presentations and provided valuable feedback to the participants, further enriching the learning experience.
Overall, Pre Budget Express 2026 served as an effective platform for experiential learning, fostering analytical skills, teamwork, and policy-oriented thinking among students.
