The Department of Hospitality and Catering Technology organized a Campus Placement Drive on 19th February 2026, conducted by Conrad Hotels & Resorts, one of the premier luxury hotel brands under the Hilton portfolio. The recruitment drive aimed to provide final-year students with promising career opportunities in the hospitality industry.
The recruitment team comprised Innu Lama, Learning and Development Manager, and Resham Gupta, Director of Human Resources. They interacted with students and conducted the selection process in a structured and professional manner.
A total of 11 students from the 2022 and 2023 batches attended the placement drive. The selection process consisted of multiple rounds designed to evaluate students’ communication skills, leadership qualities, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and overall professional competence.
The recruitment process began with an introduction to the hotel, where the representatives provided detailed insights into the brand’s legacy, service standards, organizational culture, growth opportunities, and career progression pathways. This session helped students understand the expectations and values upheld by the organization.
The next stage involved a Group Discussion (GD) round, where candidates were assessed on their teamwork, communication skills, confidence, and ability to express ideas effectively in a professional setting. The GD allowed the panel to observe leadership qualities and collaborative skills among participants.
Following the group activity, shortlisted candidates attended a personal interview with the HR panel. During this round, students were evaluated on their technical knowledge, internship experiences, career goals, adaptability, and readiness to work in a luxury hospitality environment.
Out of the 11 students who participated, 6 students were successfully selected, marking a commendable achievement for the department. The placement drive provided students with valuable exposure to real-time recruitment procedures and enhanced their confidence in facing professional interviews.
The Campus Placement Drive successfully strengthened the institute–industry relationship and offered students a significant platform to begin their professional journey with a reputed international hospitality brand
