The School of Media Studies at Garden City University, in collaboration with the School of Commerce and Management, organized an engaging and interactive session titled “Trends in Branding and Advertising in an Evolving India” at the GCU Auditorium.
The session featured Samera Khan, Strategic Brand and Marketing Consultant and Director at Miami Ad School India. Addressing a packed auditorium of students and faculty members, Ms. Khan shared valuable insights into the rapidly transforming landscape of branding and advertising across India and global markets.
Drawing from her professional experience spanning India, the APAC region, and the MENA markets, she emphasized the growing relevance of ecosystem thinking, digital transformation, and the expanding influence of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business models. She highlighted how modern brands must adopt data-driven strategies, consumer-centric frameworks, and agile communication approaches to remain competitive in today’s dynamic marketplace.
Students were introduced to contemporary brand strategy frameworks and evolving consumer behavior patterns shaping modern India. The session underscored the importance of strategic storytelling and integrated marketing communication in building sustainable and globally relevant brand identities.
The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, followed by one-on-one interactions that enabled students to seek personalized career guidance and industry insights from the speaker.
