The Department of Hospitality and Catering Technology at GCU successfully hosted Kaffe Gardenia – Students’ Entrepreneur Studio on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Green House venue. This experiential learning initiative immersed students in the full cycle of entrepreneurship, from planning and preparing popular street foods like Misal Pav, Zhar-Zhareet, and Dabeli to pricing, marketing, stall setup, sales, and customer interactions. Students handled every aspect—menu design, procurement, mise en place, production, portion control, costing, and service—while prioritizing authentic flavors, hygiene, attractive presentation, and efficient operations in a simulated small-scale food business environment
The event drew an enthusiastic response from customers, who praised the taste, freshness, and professional presentation. Students’ interactive sales techniques and seamless teamwork highlighted their coordination, time management, and confidence in real-world scenarios, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge with practical execution
Primarily aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, Kaffe Gardenia developed key skills including managerial leadership, teamwork, costing and pricing expertise, marketing savvy, and customer-handling proficiency. This hands-on experience proved invaluable in preparing students for the demands of the hospitality industry.
